Scott's Place, Wellington, Florida
Scott's Place is a barrier-free playground in Wellington Florida that children of every ability can enjoy. This beautiful park was built by the community in 2010 and made possible in part to the generous donation of $250,000 made by Del & Barbara Williamson in honor of their son Scott, who they lost to cerebral palsy at the age of six.
Scott's Place features accessible playground equipment throughout, including a large playset with wheelchair ramps, jungle gym, swings, and slides. A brick paver walkway leads to a "Reading Corner" where a chest filled with books is located. There is also a pavilion and benches throughout the park.
Outside the fence, at Scott's Place, you'll find a picnic area, which can be rented, and the Wellington Amphitheater.
